NYLT Registration

Basic requirements for youth wishing to attend the Istrouma Area Council NYLT training course.

To attend an NYLT course, a youth must have the following qualifications by the beginning of the course:
  • Must be a registered member of a Scouting unit.
  • Must have a current BSA Health and Medical Record Form (Parts A, B, and C.)
  • Scouts within a troop must be a First Class Scout and have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops.
  • Scouts within Venturing and Sea Scouts must have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews or Ships. It is recommended they have had at least one year of camping experience. While NYLT is not an outdoor skills course, each participant must have basic camping and outdoor cooking experience.

When:  Sunday, May 26, 2024, through May 31, 2024.

Cost:

  • Participants $250 ($25 Discount to first 30 to register) (Contact registration for any issues.)
  • Staff (Adults & Youth) $200 (Additionally, these roles are by invitation, so be sure to check with the Course Director in advance.)
  • Daily Adult Leader volunteers are free. 

All participants/staff receive two (2) t-shirts, a hat, a neckerchief, & patches. 

Extra t-shirts (if you want more than 2) can be ordered for $20.00 each.  Extra Council Strip Patches are available for $5.00 each.  When registering, be sure to check under "Products" at the end of the page if you want to purchase any quantities of these.

Please ensure the shirt size in your Tentaroo profile is correct. 

Last day to register is May 5, 2024.  This course is limited to 48 Scouts.
