Philmont 2018

Istrouma Area Council is pleased to announce availability of 4 crews for the 2018 Philmont season.  If your unit (troop, ship, post, crew) applied for, but did not receive a 2018 trek and you're interested in one of the council contingent crews, have your adult leaders email High.Adventure@cox.net today.

Individual Scouts and Scouters, if your troop isn't planning a 2018 Philmont trip and you're interested in going, we may be able to find you a slot in one of the Council Contingent crews. Email High.Adventure@cox.net today. 

What is Philmont?! 

 

 

 

 

Here are the trip details to date.  Specifics may change.

When:  June 23, 2018 through July 6, 2018

Cost: $1650 per person.
This includes fees, transportation, meals, and "lodging." Gear, snacks, and souvenirs are not included. The final cost will be announced soon. Philmont requires a minimum of 2 crew members in each crew to certify in Wilderness First Aid and CPR w/AED.  The council does not pay for this training.

Transportation and Lodging:  Chartered Motor Coach 
Departing from the Scout Office around noon on June 23rd and returning the afternoon of July 6th. Straight through bus ride.  Meal and fuel stops only.

Applications:
Youth and Adult applications will be available soon and require a $250 deposit per trekker when submitted.

Participation is limited to Istrouma Area Council - BSA members at this time.
