Together We Give

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020

We believe that generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. A global threat like COVID-19 touches every person on the planet, and it presents an opportunity to come together as a global community.

Several of our Scouting Organizations have contributed to helping their communities.

Pack and Troop 221 delivered food and supplies they collected to a local asisted living facility in Mandeville, La.

Troop 103 Star Scout Henry Robin made mask extenders using a 3D printer.  The extenders were distributed to health care workers to area Baton Rouge hospitals.

Paula from Pack 461 made numerous face masks.

Pack 59/Troop 59 provided lunch for the St. James Parish Hospital, St. James Parish Sheriffs Office, Gramercy Police Dept., and the deputies doing security for the Covid 19 test site at Gramercy Elementary

Various volunteers and scouts participated in parades to offer Birthday wishes and say thank you to their teachers.

Now more than ever the Istrouma Area Council needs your support.
