2018 Annual Sporting Clays Classic

The Istrouma Area Council Sporting Clays Classic is celebrating its 20th year in 2018! It was the first Clay Shoot of its kind in Louisiana. Proceeds from the event benefit youth development in the Istrouma Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Gather a team and come join the tradition!

Your team members and guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, auctions and the presentation of the Community Leadership Development award on Thursday night. Friday, your team’s skills will be tested shooting sporting clays at beautiful Avondale Scout Reservation. Breakfast and hot boiled crawfish seasoned to perfection will be provided, and tons of door prizes to give away!

Avondale Scout Reservation is located three miles east of Clinton, Louisiana on State Highway 10. It consists of 1,600 acres of winding creeks, open meadows, marshes, rolling hills, dense hardwood and pine forests and sparkling lakes. 51 weeks out of the year it is used by thousands of Scouts to experience the great outdoors. For this event it will be converted into a beautiful sporting clays course.

The course is set to be a fun shoot for all skill levels but some stations that will challenge even the expert marksman!

Many thanks to our 2018 sponsors!
