Brad Defranceschi

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family of Brad DeFranceschi today….

As many of you know, “Ranger Brad” was the victim of a senseless shooting on Monday, October 9th, and while we mourn the loss of our friend and brother in Scouting, members of our local and state law enforcement agencies are actively working to solve not only this case, but similar shootings in the Clinton community, and we pray and trust that justice will prevail.

Many of you have kindly asked what you can do to help the DeFranceschi Family.  The Council is currently setting up a fund for his two children, and as details are available, they will certainly be shared with everyone.

Additionally, here are the details for the Visitation and Funeral Services:

Visitation

Avondale Scout Reservation (14433 Hwy 10 East, Clinton, LA)

New Dining Hall

Saturday, October 14, 2017 5pm – 9pm

Sunday, October 15, 2017 noon – 3pm

Funeral Services

Avondale Scout Reservation (14433 Hwy 10 East, Clinton, LA)

New Dining Hall

Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 3pm

A grave site service will be at the Masonic Cemetery (Highway 10 East, Clinton, LA), with a reception to follow back at Avondale Scout Reservation in the new Dining Hall.

In the meantime, let’s take a moment today to re-dedicate our efforts for our Scouts and do them in honor of ASR Ranger Brad DeFranceschi.
