Scouts BSA Winter Camp

The 2022 Winter Camp Schedule offers 40 merit badges, including 10 Eagle-required.

Date:                            December 27 - December 30, 2022

Check-In Time:             9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., December 27, 2022 (Classes begin after lunch)

Departure Time:           2:00 p.m., December 30, 2022 (Classes held in the morning)

Reservation & Fees:  

Winter Camp is limited to the first 200 Scouts.  The cost is $225.00 per Scout until November 1st. After November 1st, the fee increases to $285.00. Registration will close at the end of the day on December 22. Once you are ready to lock in your seat, select the merit badge(s) available and pay for camp in full.  Extra Merit Badge costs are added when the course is selected.

Adults attending camp must register as adult leaders.  Two registered adult leaders 21 years of age or over and with current Youth Protection Training are always required to be in camp.  Any adult who is accompanying a Scouting unit and is present at the activity for 72 total hours or more must be registered as a leader. The 72 hours need not be consecutive. Female Scouts BSA must be accompanied by a registered Female Leader.  The adult fee is $100.00 per adult.  

Staff members must be a minimum of 16 years of age when camp begins and must be currently registered with BSA, have a current Youth Protection Training, plus take the BSA Unlawful Harassment course and Hazardous Weather course prior to arriving at camp.  These requirements are to comply with BSA Camp Standards.  Staff resources must be approved ahead of registration.  To do so, please go to www.iacbsa.org/campstaff to complete the application for the Camp Director to review and get back to you.  The Staff fee is $50.00 per person to cover the cost of food.

Merit Badge Counselors (MBCs) must be a minimum of 18 years of age when camp begins and must be currently registered with BSA as MBC, have a current Youth Protection Training, plus take the BSA Unlawful Harassment course and Hazardous Weather course prior to arriving at camp.  Finally, MBCs should present a copy of their syllabus or lesson plan prior to camp. These requirements are to comply with BSA Camp Standards.  MBC resources must be approved ahead of registration.  To do so, please go to www.iacbsa.org/campstaff to complete the application for the Camp Director to review and get back to you.  The MBC fee is $50.00 per person to cover the cost of food.

Health Forms:                

ALL adults and youth attending camp must have a current Annual Health and Medical Record parts A, B, and C.  This is necessary to document the current health status and medications if any, that the Scout or Scouter is taking.  Health forms will be returned to units at the end of camp. It is recommended that only copies of the health forms be submitted (The originals should remain with Troop records).
