2018 Nawaganti Spring Camporee

     April 20, 21, 22 2018




Join us for a Pioneering Camporee April 20, 21,22 2018 at Camp Avondale.  This will an adventure for Patrols to test their skills against each other in some of the oldest traditions in Scouting.  Each Troop will be assigned an activity to oversee for this event.  Included will be details about each event and what supplies are needed.  Each event will be scored, with ribbons for each event and an overall score winner.  Overall winner will take home the covenanted Nawaganti Toilet Bowl Trophy.


Registration will be online by Troop only.  Cost for this event before 4/13/2018 is $18 per Scout and $15 per Adult.  On 4/14/2018 the cost for this event will go up to $28 per scout and $25 per Adult.  No one will be allowed to register after 4/18/2018. The Scout Office will not accept paper registrations or payments.


Check in will begin Friday April 20 at 4PM.  Only one vehicle per Troop will be allowed in camping area.  This vehicle is to unload or drop trailer and return to parking area.  Per Camp Avondale rules no vehicle will be allowed to stay in camping area unless attached to a Troop Trailier.  Camping assignments will be given at check in.

Mandatory Leader Meeting

There will be a mandatory Leader Meeting at 9PM down at the Council Fire Ring.  SPL, PL, SM or ASM are required to attend.  Also, whoever is working an event will be required to attend.  Final details about events will be discussed at this time.

General Rules

The Scout Law, Scout Oath and the Outdoor Code are guiding rules for all Camporee.  All participants, both Scouts and Adults are expected to follow the Oath and Law.  All activities should be done by Patrol unless otherwise noted.

Scoring and Score Cards

Each Patrol will be given score cards for each event.  When they get to the event they will give score card to person that oversees the activity.  Persons in charge of the activity will write down score and place in box.  Scores will be tallied Saturday night and ribbons will be distributed at closing ceremony Sunday morning 4/22/2018.

Campfire Program and Skits

Campfire will begin at 8PM Saturday night.  All Troops need to provide one skit or song.  The more skits and songs the better the campfire program will be.  All skits and songs must be approved by Camporee Director (Cliff McDaniel)
