Interfaith Retreat, December 8-10, Camp Avondale

Learn about your respective Religious Emblems and come meet ministers of many different faiths, all while having FUN as you meet fellow Scouts and Venturers from different area Councils, including Southeast Louisiana Council, Evangeline Council, Calcasieu, and Istrouma Area Council.

There will be morning Orienteering Courses to discover how your faith relates to you as a Scout/Venturer, as well as afternoon activities to include shooting sports, archery, aquatic paddling, climbing, a fishing derby and so much more!

The registration fee is $25.00 for Scouts BSA, Venturers, and adults. All adults are required to be registered with BSA in order to attend the Retreat. We ask that each Troop/Crew/Ship pre-register by Tuesday, December 5, 2023, so that we can be better prepared for your arrival. Registration will close on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Saturday attendees must check in at the Administration Building upon arrival by 8:00 AM. Full registration fees will apply to Saturday-only attendees. The Registration Fee includes breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and Lunch and Dinner on Saturday.

Religious Emblems Counselor Training will be offered in the afternoon on Saturday for all adult Scouters, including Cub Scout leaders; two (2) Religious Emblems Small Groups for Youth (Scouts BSA and Venturers) will also be offered.

Please mark your Troop/Crew calendar for this special weekend, scheduled for December 8, 9, & 10, 2023 at Camp Avondale, Avondale Scout Reservation in Clinton, Louisiana.
